Diggy Simmons

This person is a young guy who was born in March the 21^st, in 1995. His real name is Daniel Dwayne Simmons III but, he is called Diggy Simmons. He is the son of Joseph Simmons who is one of the founding member of Run-DMC(it’s a old group of rap music composed of Rev Run, his father, DMC and Jam Master Jay)and the son of Justine Simmons an African American singer. He begin to produce rap music in 2005. He became famous because of the tv show: Run's House (is an MTV reality series. It shows the family life of rapper and hip-hop music of the Simmons family). He is one of the youger people who succeed in the rap. Nowaday he has produced two mixtapes:”the first flight” and “airborn”.

Well today i want to talk about one about a monument of rock music, a band with a very extended musical patrimony , we can say they are polyvalent. They contributed to the inspiration of artists or bands like MUSE , GUNS N ROSES or MIKA. They are a band , they are QUEEN!
QUEEN are from right to left :

Freddie MERCURY, whose real name was Farrokh BULSARA, was born in the protectorate of Zanzibar in 1946 and died in 1991 in London. It’s maybe the most famous guy of this band.

He was the singer , the pianist and sometimes the guitarist for a little number of songs

Brian MAY , the guitarist of the band. . he raised his guitar (the “red special”) as a classical rock instrument by its utilisation of saturation sounds and its abilities to play every kind of musical styles. He is a great pianist and singer too.

Roger TAYLOR , the drummer and one of the founders with the guys above in 1970. He did the back vocals with Brian MAY

John DEACON , the bass player who join the band in 1971

At first, they turned towards heavy metal and other hard rock styles. We had to wait until 1975 and the creation of their biggest hit "Bohemian Rhapsody" to recognise the style we know them for. Moreover , you need to know that there were no leaders in this band. Stop thinking that Freddie MERCURY was the head of this for guys. He might be the autor of their greatest hit.
He might written their discography. But whitout the other musician, we would probably never have known famous songs like "We will rock you" , "I want to break free" and "Another one bites the dust". Besides, we surely would have heard songs like "Under presure", "I want it all" and "The show must go on" a different way.

The harp

The harp is a musical instrument with pinched ropes, as the guitar, with a colone and a sound box. It one of the most old instruments, because it dates 4.000 years before J.-C. The harp is universal, it has been played all aroud the world, for exemple by egyptians or african tribes.
In the Middle Ages the harp was handicaped by its diatonic scale, that means it could only play the seven notes : C, D, E, F, G, A, B (do ré mi fa sol la si); while others instruments had chromatic scale : they could play sharps # and flats b, so twelve notes. To resolve this problem, the arpa doppia or the double harp was created in Italia, with two rows of ropes. After, in 1697, the harp with seven pedals comes into the world, one for each note, that means 1.500 mechanical rooms into the colone.

Nowadays there is two played types of harp, the celtic harp and the concert harp. The first has not pedals but palettes, and it is little : between 1 and 1,50 metre high and only 32 - 38 ropes, that is why it is adapted for children. The concert harp has pedals and is more big : between 1,60 and 1,90 metre high and 40 - 48 ropes. Since lately there are also the electric harp and the electro-acoustic harp, which can sound like a classical harp or an electric harp.

The most part of the ropes are made in bowels or nylon, but the most grave are in metal. The ropes for the note C (do) are painted in red, those for the note F (fa) in blue, and the others are uncolored. The harp has the biggest tessiture (the number of notes) with the piano, until six octaves. A concert harp costs between 10.000 and 100.000 euros, but there are celtic harps for 1.000 euros.

• I am going to talk about Kanye West : he was born and lived with his parents in Georgia. He moved to Chicago in Illinois when he was 3 years old because his parents divorced. Kanye is a good singer, rapper and record producer. His songs are amazing! His mother, Donda West was a Professor of English in the University at Clark Atlanta. Then, she is the manager of her son, Kanye West. He works with « R&B » and « hip-hop » artists like The Game, Common, Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Jay-Z and others...

• Donda West died the 10 November 2007. She had a heart attack. For the first time, Kanye West spoke about the death of his mother : "It was like losing an arm and a leg " he said. After her death, he made an album called « 808's & Heartbreak ».

• Wu-Tang Clan's producer influenced him in his style. Then, on Graduation, his new album, Kanye was inspired from rock like The Rolling Stones, and U2. I like him for his style, his voice, his songs, and his life !

DEVIANTART : THE artists' place

Let's focus on DeviantART, one of my favorite websites on Internet. Maybe you already know it, because a lot of "deviations" (the name given to the artists' works) circulate on Internet or maybe, you are already registered as a "dA" user !

DeviantART is an online artist community, launched in 2000, which gathers over 14,5 million members and 100 million works ! That's why it is the 125th most-visited website in the world.

Professional or amateur people can post their works and discuss with others members. You can found various types of art : photography, digital or traditional art, Flash, litterature (poems, novels etc.), design or even cooking (!).

Each day, I'm used to look at DeviantART because there are very talented artists and amazing works (and I love drawing and admiring these artists's works). Moreover, it's hourly updated, so you always discover new deviations.

Finally, I advice you to visit this page, it's the most popular deviation of all the time : 9,083,527 views (when i'm writing this article) and 29,529 comments since 2006 ! According to me, it's an incredible job made by this man (and quite funny as well), isn't it ?!

Everything you can see on your screen,you could'nt see them without the invention of bits.

What is a bit?

"Bit" is contraction for " diginary bit ".Indeed, a bit could have only 2 values : 0 or 1.
In the Boolean logic, the 0 corresponds to " No/False ", and the 1 to " Yes/True ".
In electronic,they respictively want to say " opened " and " closed ".
Finally, we can use this binary language in magnetic; 0: North , 1: South, and sometimes in optic; 0:black , 1:white.
I'm only going to tell you about the informatic ( boolean ) logic.
Just remeber a bit is a 0 or a 1.
There is in a byte (octet) 8 bits,so 8 digits. It allows to count to 255.

But i lied to you : a kb is not 1000 bytes,but 2^10 : 1024 bytes; a Mb is 2^20 : 1 048 576.



But commercials don't know that. This is why when they sale you an usb key of 4gb,there is approximatively 3,8 Gb. They think a kb is 1000 bytes,whereas we just have seen it's 1024.
For an example more eloquent , when you buy a Hard Drive of 1Tb,it contain juste 931gb : 69 Gb less that announced.
